   Nine of Cups
The Nine of Cups indicates a level of satisfaction with one’s life. This is a passive satisfaction; cessation of appetite; get what you hunger for. “Fat, dumb and happy.”

    – successful end of quest near. Contentment. Everything good.

9 of Hearts: H + B, HUB. The Hub of Contentment. Stillness and comfort surround me for the moment. Io provides for us little gardens on our Path to rest in when the Path has been too long and steep and rough. For a time, we rest then move on again into the fray, or to be pushed out of the garden by the hand of Io’s boredom. But not now, not yet. Now there is sleep and rest, the contentment of the innocent or the grateful. Tonight, I treasure what I have gained, and turn away, for the moment, from what I have lost; tomorrow I rise anew. I am satisfied. After the difficult choices of the Seven and the stagnation of the Eight, the Cups suit starts to balance out with the Nine. One of the most positive and uplifting cards of the entire deck, the Nine of Cups shows satisfaction on all levels - emotional, physical, sensual. It is little wonder that most Tarot readers refer to this as the Wish Card, and its appearance is often taken as a sign that, whatever your heart's desire is, it shall be granted in the coming days. It may not be granted exactly as you expected but you can rest assured that you will get what you want.
